85% complete. Still need a a receiver, gussets and side supports (and better paint job...) but this will do for Rush

(I know it's a bit crooked, not a lot of fun to install singled handed...)

Big thanks to @Bandido for the garage space, bender usage/assistance, welding and delicious tacos.

You consider little kickers where it wraps the bed? A few of us have deleted tail lights and gained basketball size dents when the rear suddenly kicks sideways

That's on the "stage 2" list. Def considering, esp with how long my truck it. Good news is, i'm hyper aware of the length and really pay attention to it as much as the circumstances allow.

    Stage 2:
    - Receiver/gussets
    - side supports/gussets
    - additional rear bar (I need another ~2" sticking out (or so @presta24 mom says....) to truly protect the tailgate)
    - bedside protection
    - 1/8" plate between the frame plates for: trailer adapter, backup sensors, lights, air, etc
    - figure out BSM mounting, really hoping I can squeeze it below the lights

EDIT: also portable band saw for cutting all this shit. Somehow we cut everything with a bunch of half-worn cutoff discs. This includes cutting a bunch of 2.5 x 0.25" square for a bender base.

    :spy:

it might be loosely based on a similar concept. There are a few out there which are extremely similar, including WarFab. Not too many ways to build a tube style rear...

FWIW, I think WarFab is a really good value. If not for building this one, I'd have bought a WarFab.

I guess I'd be interested in both a 1x3 die for the bender and one of those basic bitch notcher setups to properly expand the options and speed to build stuff.

completely unrelated... you've got me thinking about how to change up my exhaust setup.

On the exhaust, I kinda want a resonator. I love the sound of it when I'm on my own, but i was super aware of the noise with a female in the car all day yesterday.

Esp if I eventually regear, cruising rpm will be right at max drone rpm....

I'm totally down for a basic notcher rig, and a band saw. Debating whether I want to do battery or wired.
