Bummer! Which group are you in? I wonder how flexible they will be with changing stuff up. There are 3 of us who are going to try to camp together in the "Jones Field" area. I probably won't get there till Friday evening sometime, maybe 8-8:30ish.

Bringing firewood, a pop-up shelter, whiskey, etc. I'll probably only be there one night, not entirely sure yet. Still need to sort out some details.

If you look at the assignment list, um in the group below yours (Jason Smith).
I plan on driving out Saturday morning, work won't give me a second for myself.

    @beertimecontinuum

My passenger seat is open. Want me to pick you up on my way down Friday night? Tried to talk @Breezy into it but he's busy.

Any other usual suspects want in let me know and I'll see what we can do

Well see what had happened was, summerskytaco insinuated that evert was gonna row your gears, which probably meant give you a handy, then evert asked if he knew the difference between anal rape and camping, then summers said "no" which is sus because those two things are generally fairly easy to tell apart but that's none of my business, so evert invited him to go camping and he said nah.

So the bottom line is nobody ruled out you getting a handy so I think you're coming out ahead. Pun intended!

How did your DBBB ride go?
We had an X-terra break down and had to get towed off trail fairly early on. Pretty uneventful otherwise.

Yeah, pretty boring to be honest. @Summers_Kytaco_19 and I did 97% of our group ride in 2wd

Well, that's too bad. The trail we ran had a little bit of everything, mud pits, rocks, decent climbs. Nothing I'd consider difficult, but couldn't be done in 2wd.

We found a decent mud hole on Fixer-Leeco, and explored the route up to Hot Damn. Then turned around and came back down. Gave myself some heart palpitations dropping off a rock on an irresponsible line.

Then I was boring and declined any night wheeling.

At least you admit the boring part. :)

To be honest though... stump cave at night might be pretty boring. A cave is dark...but so is night....

I wish I could remember the name if the trail we did (hollerwood?)

    20220521_103903.jpg
This was our group leader, on 40s. He had to winch out, but that's only because he was towing a dead truck.

    20220521_105319.jpg

This Defender had to winch out, but I think it was more driver error than anything. The rest of us all plowed through.
