I finally installed the frame reinforcement brackets for the bumper today. I was being a wimp about drilling holes in the frame but everything went perfectly and it was quite easy.

Now I can properly spool my winch too.

The truck will be "done" when @beertimecontinuum installs my ext rear brake lines, haha

Oh, I did the diff breather today too.

I hope you had a good time, I didn't even know there was a library in the area. I'm heavily involved in the community, obviously.

I'm going out later to hand over keys to tenants for the next 18 months, hallelujah.

Also going to do some final Christmas shopping. I'll need to apply some tire shine and re-mount the shovel and traction boards to really show the mall crowd what's up.

Good looking truck man. Didn't know about the wreck till now. Seen your white one several times this past year in Shelbyville but I was always in the work van. Keep up the good work!

Hey! Feel free to say hi if you ever see me out. I'll keep an eye out for your truck too.

Are you in the #BBN industry or just a fan?

I didn't know " #BBN " was a thing for UK, haha! I figured it was bourbon, as that's a common abbreviation in my line of work.

I'm around Frankfort quite often as well, at Buffalo Trace.

I have a shirt that says you can’t spell bourbon without bbn. Lol

Mom worked at Buffalo back in the AA days. And we keep our work vehicles just past the post office by there which I spend a lot of time when not on the road.

And one of my best friends is really into the bourbon scene and is a member of the “bourbon mafia”

Yeah you know that new really nice big maintenance garage they built couple years ago? Well we've got a little old leaky shed just below that....

She was there in late 70's. Said she worked a little in shipping but wasn't a very good forklift driver, so mostly worked in the bottling house.

Nice 2nd build!! Geese that sucks about your first build. Came across your build while looking for info about where people are running there ADD front suspension. Do you mind sharing how many threads you have showing on both driver and passenger and maybe a measurement from hub to fender. Also what spring rate are you running 650lbs or 700lbs? Much appreciated for the TacomaWorld community.

I just ran across your post in the ADS suspension thread with measurements on your white Taco. so now I’m even more curious if you cranked your coil overs more after winch and bumper on your calv blue. I will have armor, bumper, winch etc sitting up front. RIP white truck. Hope no one had permanent damage from the accident.

    Hey @BroID

Thanks for the comments. No lasting damage from the accident, just a bummer to have it happen.

I've been meaning to measure and compare to before the bumper/winch. I did not add any preload with the new set up.

I'm not really going for a ton of lift, though that would be nice looking.

Coils are ADS extended travel with 700lb springs.

    DF:
    - threads: 14/15
    - hub to fender: 22.25"

    PF:
    - threads: 12
    - hub to fender: 22.5"

I could add a little more preload and have considered it. I want to get it out on the trails first and see if I actually need it for some reason or if it would be cosmetic.

It might not look like it, but the armor I have (especially the skids) is very very heavy. Especially the IFS skid

Here are the measurements on the old truck. No suspension adjustments since, only difference is the new truck and bumper/winch.

Of course, I have the bed cage in the back which is compressing the rear a fraction more and taking a little load off the front

Perfect! I’m currently sitting at 22.5 hub to fender with OME 888 coils and Bili 5100s. I am hoping to keep that when I install my identical coil overs. I’m going to use your measurements as my starting point. Even if I have to dial it back some that’ll be much easier then trying to go the other way. Thanks for your time and help! It has saved me and hopefully some others stress of trying to get it right.

    Happy New Year!
