Blower motor PLUG

So I was having issues with my A/C not blowing. After a little checking I pulled out the plug that goes into the blower motor. I was burnt and needs to be replaced. I cannot find the plug available anywere. Any ideas?

 

Can you post a picture of it? I am guessing mouser or digikey carry the housing and terminals for a lot less than anywhere else.

 

Okay, I may be completely wrong, but I think that this plug and resistor pack is the same one that GM used on my old POS Canyon. If that is the case, mouser carries the parts.

Delphi number 12129565-B, mouser number 829-12129565-B is the male housing, $1.92 each

Delphi number12162597, mouser number 829-12162597 are the pins, $0.17 each


Otherwise if the plug itself has some numbers on it I think I can help you find the right one.

It is definitely NOT the Delphi pictures I posted. I thought it was the grey blower motor resistor plug.

Are there any numbers on the plug?

 

10916...is on the plug. I called the dealer and they have no idea what Im talking about. Also, any idea where the power from the blower motor comes from?

Ok, I have read a lot of forums on this topic and nobody seems to be able to find the part numbers for the small molex blower motor plug and replacement wiring.

After a lot of research and after going to a repair shop and being told I may need a whole new wiring harness I found the parts on my own.

You will need 3 parts. The plug itself, part number 90980-10916
and 2 wires with the connectors that go into the plug.
So order 2 wires, part number 82998-12380.

I ordered mine at www.toyotapartszone.com. The order information is below.
82998-12380 TERMINAL, REPAIR W/W 2 $5.16
90980-10916 HOUSING, CONNECTOR F 1 $5.25

82998-12380) only come one to a package not two as you have shown. You must actually order two of these. Why don't they sell them two to a package? Is someone going to go through the trouble of replacing this but reuse one of the wires? Makes no sense, and now I'm waiting another week. Awesome!

 

New to the forum, but not new to Toyota's! Just bought an 03 4x4 taco and the blower motor makes an annoying sound, took it apart no debris in there so concluded it is my motor going out(either electrical or bearing on the shaft) no big deal just order a new one. Wrong. The idiot before me replaced only the motor with a cheap one that's hardwired into the motor, in other words he cut the plug off and hard wired it. I came across this post because I've been searching endlessly for that plug. My question is will those part numbers work for my 2003? Thanks in advance guys.

 

Thanks for this post, I'm having the same problem with mine now. Although I don't feel like spending $15+ just to have the next plug fry in a few years. Clearly this is a problem and safety hazard with Tacomas.
Question, does the end of the plug wires look like normal terminal plugs?

I had the same issue with my 2010 Tacoma. Blower motor stopped working so I was replacing it and discovered a burnt plug on the blower motor. I looked for a replacement part for over a week before I discovered this site. I ordered the components to build a new plug and after reading decided to replace the resistor as well. Has worked great since the repair.

 

What site did you discover or is that a secret?
