I’m on a road trip and the blower motor on my 2007 quit working the other day. At first I thought it might be a fuse, but it started working again after a few more miles. I started reading up about it here, and there seem to be a number of electrical possibilities, but I’m not really at a place where I can diagnose it. One thing for sure though, is that when I tap on the bottom of the fan, it starts up again. Does that pretty much narrow it down to the fan motor, or should I consider other options? Ideally I could order a fan off of Amazon and have it waiting for me when I get to a place I can replace it, but if there are other possibilities I might have to wait until I can dig deeper into it.

    4 run, 2 don't
Does it make a clicking sound as it spins? If so, it's on its way out.

That's what mine started doing before it would just quit spinning.

I can’t hear any clicking. It’s silent, then I tap it on the bottom and it spins up. < insert dad joke here >

I recently fixed my blower motor after it would intermittently run. The problem ended up being the power connector to the blower motor itself had burned. Solution is to cut and splice a new connector but the new connectors have a different connection type (hopefully to fix the initial burnt plug issues) so you will have to replace the resistor on the other end of it as well. Took me less than 30 minutes to splice this new stuff in.

    Ordered these 3 things:
