5100's all the way around. Front set at .85. Camburg Spindles. Camburg Uniball 1.25 UCA's. Total Chaos LCA skid plates. Custom Deaver 10 pack rear leaf spring. BFG AT KO's 285/70/17, Weathertech floor liners, Wet Okoles. Midland CB/PA, Firestick.
I had my blower motor replaced as well at around 15,000 miles...now I am creeping up on 30,000 miles and it started up again. Warranty expires at 36,000. Knowing they did not fix the problem under warranty, will they still try to fix it after it expires? Like a pre-existing issue that was never really fixed?

When you guys say it's "CHIRPING" do you mean you hear this sound whenever you turn on your BLOWER? Whether if it's hot or cold?

I may sound like a dick...but you should read all the pages on this issue to get the full history on what you should do...

4 weeks now and all is still quiet. Sorry for the multiple postings but I am just trying to keep it in the most recent part of the forums as so far it has been the only thing that has solved the chirping issue for me.

Give what I have posted a try. Last post of mine was on Nov16 and Nov24

I had done a separate post on this but I thought it might be helpful to post it here too.

Here are comparison pictures of the old 05 blower motor compared to the newest (-0404(3)). They are quite different externally. I had tried to lubricate the old motor (it was VERY noisy and often did not work in the two lower settings) but the brass bushing had come out so I had to replace the whole assembly.

The new one is on the left. The white cable clip had to be transferred to the new motor as it did not come with one.

Well I'm sad to report after two months on my new blower motor (#2) the chirp is back. Argh! This is getting annoying but I don't think they put the new model in. Gonna call the dealer tomorrow and get the new model blower model installed.

I searched back a couple pages and couldn't find it, can someone tell me what the part # is for the new model? Thanks!

I have done about everything to mine including this http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...otor-squeek-chirp-low-fix-23.html#post3327477 and it still chirped after a few weeks. Now I don't know what I've done but on about the 6th or 7th lube it finally has quit making a noise. It's been months now and it's in the single digit temperatures. The last time I didn't care much about cleaning and polishing. I was mad and just slapped a big glob of Mobil 1 grease in both bearings and put it back together. I didn't spray any cleaner. I just wiped off the grease with a rag. I didn't do a good thorough job. Remember I've done this a half a dozen times before with no success but this time it seemed to work. I just tightened up the screws semi-loose because I knew I'd be back in there in a few weeks. I guess you just keep messing with it until it works.

Mine just started chirping & driving me nuts. I am going into the dealership tomorrow to talk with my service manager. She has never done me wrong before so I doubt they will give me any grief.

Just got the #3 part number motor installed today, so far so good.

However Superior Toyota in Erie, PA needs to find new people to run their service dept. I had them order parts, then called a few days later and the parts dept said they had two in stock. Then i made an appt and the service guy at the front desk had no idea they had them in stock and told me that the parts dept doesnt tell him anything.

    Get your shit together guys.

Went in today and talked with my service manager at Desert Toyota in Tucson. She didnt even bother looking at it, called parts to make sure the new motor and resistor was avaliable and scheduled me for Monday.

Desert Toyota is AWESOME. I have a lot of mods done to my truck and they never once have tried pulling any of that BS others dealers have. And I didnt even buy my truck from them. They will definately be my next dealership I buy from.

so its good to know that you can grease the shaft and get rid of the noise. My taco has about 6k on it, and the fan motor just started to make a ticking noise when its on on low. It sounds like a piece of bebris caught against the fan blades, like a card in a bicycle wheel. Any way Im glad Im not the only one with the issue. I will be taking it apart this week end, can"t wait to fix it!
