Dang. Glad I found this thread! I've been dreading what that was in my 2011. Mine is still under warranty so I should probably make them fix it.

Not much on the 07 yet. 18 is gone, but was a greata truck. TRD Pro grill, Gator FX3, Homelink mirror, Black out badges & exhaust tip, Remote start. Future TRD exhaust, skid plate.
Just installed the 043 Toyota blower and holy moly, the silence is amazing. Speaking as someone who almost always has way more problems than necessary when fixing something myself, this was super easy. Who knew there was a 5.5mm socket! Even the wire connector came off easily.
Well worth doing. Hoping this is a permanent solution.

I tried the oil and it worked for a minute. I fixed mine by adjusting the screws without removing the motor. I removed the plastic housing only and adjusted the screws until no squeak. tightened front and loosened the back. Been going for months now. I actually forgot how much of a PITA that sound was. Gone now.

The cheapest I've been able to find this part, oem wise, is $105. Anyone find the 043 p/n one cheaper?

Right, it could just about be done with one hand.

No ticking or noises since the switch! Seems to have done the trick for me.

I ordered and just installed this same blower motor. I hear a slight whirring sound when the motor is on anything but the absolute highest setting. Do you hear the same noise?

I looked around online for a bit and the cheapest I could find the OEM motor for was around $110-$130 on eBay. Found aftermarket ones for around $55 though. Not sure if they're any good for being almost half the cost of OEM or if it's because OEM is just marked up ridiculously.

    Getting there...

I'll try to remember. No issues thus far.

I got mine from Camelback Toyota for $118.97 after S&H. It's just labeled as blower motor now with no part #, so I'd call before ordering to double check.

I checked at a local stealership and they wanted $145. That seemed high to me for the Toyota OME -043 part. They said thaaye have PLENTY in stock. Must be a common problem or something? lol...

    Anyways, I will keep looking...

I keep looking too. Mine isn't too the point to where it bothers me yet, but I know it'll need replacing soon so I'm on the search for one. Just not sure if I should give the aftermarket one a chance or just get OEM.

Just ordered the -04043 blower motor on eBay for $109 USD + ship and import charges. Looking forward to getting rid of that lousy noise!

I just greased the living bejesus out of mine. problem solved. its been chirping for 4 years!

i used the green wheelbearing grease i found im my shop motomaster brand.

i had tried the white aerosol spray white grease once before. chirp came back within a month. it was dry as a bone when i opened it up again tonight and used the second type of grease. i don't think the chirp will be back.

    MJS,

Try adjusting the screws on the metal end cap with the motor running on low. Worked for me. Unplug motor with truck off then remove plastic cap only, do not remove motor. Plug motor in then start truck, set to low and adjust screws until sound goes away.
