Mine was really bad as well. The dealer replaced the motor under my toyota certified warranty for no charge. They also replaced my seatbelt, which failed to retract and tighten on me once in a while.

Just took the whole blower motor plastic housing down. Unscrewed the black plastic part away from the motor. Sprayed a little white lith on the bottom part. Squeak is gone. For how long, who knows?

I pulled mine out yesterday only to realize that it's aftermarket and I couldn't disassemble it like the OE. I blew a bunch of dust out of it with the air hose and sprayed in some aerosol solvent grease stuff that I had lying around in my garage. Probably not the best thing to use but it was the only lube I could get in there without being able to take it apart. At first it was completely silent but after 15 minutes or so it started making a little noise, still much quieter than before. I also noticed that the fan wobbles a bit but it doesn't have the balancing screws that I've seen mentioned.

Well.....it didn't last long. It does chirp a little at slow speed but not as bad as before. Will rip it apart again and use grease that is a little heavier.

After putting the oil in did you run it upside down a bit to work it in?

Nope. Just wiped the wanna be bearing in the top silver cover, and the shaft then slapped back together. Maybe I'm just lucky and that's all that was needed haha.

Been having the same chirp in my 2010. Used this thread to full disassemble and clean. After having it apart 4 times now I think I finally figured out my problem. I noticed the brushes had a jagged edge to them. So I disassembled and took some 00 steel whool to them. Just enough to round the edges and clean up the contact surface. Since it was apart I did the same to the copper area the brushes contact. Just slowly polished the copper till it was nice and shiny and no noticeable "defects". Been two weeks and so far it's been extremely quiet.

Yup. Don't bother doing anything but just buying the new upgraded blower.

I did my 2010 about three years ago. It's still fine now and it only took 45 mins or so to do properly.
