I know this is a common problem with Tachomas so it isn’t a surprise that it happened to mine.

My blower only works on high. I replaced the resistor but it didn’t come with any additional wiring connectors. When I tried it after the repair the problem was still there - blower only worked on high.

What’s the next step in troubleshooting?

I had the same problem and replaced both the resistor and the connector. There was a burnt mark on my connector. Good luck.

Check the connector at the blower. That was my issue. Mine had melted some that I couldn't re-use the male connector. I bought thin blade connectors and spliced the wires directly into the female connector. My new issue is #3 power setting does not work - this turns out to be the connector to the resister. I cleaned it and worked for a couple of months and the #3 setting has stopped working again. Think if doing what I did to the blower connector.

Just fix mine again today, about every 9 months. Took off connector clean down inside the burnt one ( centre one). Put in di- electric grease. Slap it back together, all good

o_O:annoyed: "di" in this case means does not conduct electricity.

Spend the $20 on Amazon and get a new resistor block and the new plug that comes with it.
