Fuck all that man. It's just a battery. Just know what the juice can do if you hook it wrong-you do now.

So for future projects, just snap a picture of the original part before you disconnect and use some lights next time. I keep a couple of cheap headlamps in the truck or garage for just this reason.

Your remote start probably has a fuse either inline or attached to the control box. Don't know where yours is mounted/strapped in, but mine is behind the drivers kick panel. With 2 inline fuses.

And don't give up on doing your own work. Easiest way to remember when it comes to the battery is that the engine is hot. Before long you'll be wiring in an aux fuse/relay panel.

Hey, I got a question about the jumper running from the 10amp fuse to orange wire. What does that do. I bought my truck and it has that same setup. I dont know what it's for.

It’s one of the few mods I haven’t done. It’s been there since I got my supercharger installed. Are you SC’d or NA?

Just finished this repair, had to replace 4 fuses, the alternator 140 amp was a royal PITA. Took forever to get the fuse box out far enough to get a socket in there to remove it. Parts were around 30$ All told, a 10 amp right next to the big 140 one, a 50 amp, and a 30 amp. I also fried the 10 mp on the rear of my after market stereo. Lesson on slowing down when upset and in a hurry. Oh and the original reason for the whole operation.... a new battery, 125$
