    Ok Guys,

    I just bought a 2000 tacoma with 155,000
I noticed on my way to work this morning a little bit of white smoke coming from the exhaust pipe, not a lot, just a little more than you would usually see I guess. Also, I hear somewhat of a roaring sound with the engine is beginning to idle, when I accelerate it mostly goes away. Also, when the engine is idling and I have the hood up I see it start to run ruff for a moment then stop. What do you guys think it may be?

If you're concerned you have a blown headgasket, you should check the compression at each cylinder. You can also start the truck with the radiator cap off to see if there is some coolant surging. This is not as fool proof as the compression test though.

Most likely condensation due to the cold weather. Are you losing coolant?

I doubt its a HG. Get your compression checked anyway. A new HG is easy as hell to replace.

Got it glassbead blasted to clean it up nice. Total disassembly, shaved and new valve stem seals. Mostly for reliablity.
