Good deal I'm glad they're doing the right thing!

Not sure how lift/tires would void the warranty on the 3rd member and I'd love to here their reasoning on that, if there was reason involved.

It doesnt. Its common for the dealer to say "We'll do it this time..." etc., as to make you think they are doing you a favor.

Well, I had a chance to take the truck out today and drove it around in about 14" of snow and it did great. I drove it on packed snow, freash powder, slush, and even a little payement. The new rear functioned flawlessly and the locker worked just fine. I have to admit, I was really nervous testing the locker out but it worked flawlessly.

Regarding their comments about my lift voiding my warranty, according to the Magunson-Moss Warranty Act (US Code - Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312),http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson%E2%80%93Moss_Warranty_Act and as others have said, Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle. I know this and was ready to press the issue but I kept my cards close and let everything play out.

In the end they came through by under promising and over delivering. This is what they are trained for and regardless of the diction that was used or the picture that was painted, I am happy they resolved issue and took care of me.

No, not really, they said that they made an "exception." I am just happy that it was fixed and fixed really fast. It took them just over 24 hours to fix it and get my truck back to me. I think that this says a lot considering what the Toyota service departments are going through right now with all of the recalls.

My spider gears went on my 05 ac cab 4wd (145,000) about a month ago. It was drivable but would make a clunk noise wen I hit the gas hard from start.
Picked up a 3rd from member here, works great plus had a locker. Mine was not an e-locker.
    Thanks to Holy hand grenade

This SAME EXACT thing happened to my Tacoma. The dealer denied warranty coverage, so I am in the process of refuting their decision with Toyota.
