Is single player mode good and long? Halo single player mode is short as f**k. But its totally fun though.

I'll let you know. I might not be buying too many games at 60 bones a piece. Anybody know how many rep points = $60? I think it's like 150 rep points.

I don't know if the single player for the COD4 is long....It seemed long enough for me. I suppose one who is really into the gaming could give a better opinion as to if its long enough. I like it, but I'm not a hard-core gamer.....too many other things contending for my attention, like the Taco, dirt-bike, working on house, TV, wife, etc.....

You mean the game itself? I don't play...but my husband does. He's very good with those kinda games - he finished the game in a matter of days.

The Online play is where the game really rules (again, I watch him play cuz I suck at it). I can't remember what prestige mode he's in....but he's looped around many times already. His buddies play online together with microphones/headsets.

His buddies and COD4 are the reason we're playing airsoft. :D

You can get used games for cheaper... and I think you can rent games at various places. Play them for a bit and decide if you wanna buy them.

LCD for any elevation is the way to go. Plasma is on its way out. The technology was a stepping stone for LCD. Sony quit making Plasma & is focusing on LCD & future technologies. Other companies will follow suit.

Signup for Netflix or Blockbuster online. Plenty of Blu-ray movies. I have my netflix que set to send the movie in blu-ray if available.
Action Movies are best on Blu-ray(for me personally).
    I have Spiderman 3 & Resident Evil:Extinction on Blu-ray.

I doubt it. I would venture to say that a significant majority of netflixers only have a DVD player. I'm sure that eventually, they'll do away with DVD, but not for many, many years.

Perhaps the rumor is that everything will eventually be available in blu-ray.

But yeah, I can't see them getting rid of DVD's. They's lose a lot of customers!

Think about what you just said " I can't see them getting rid of DVD's. They's lose a lot of customers!"
Now when you walk into a video store. Do you see the store with wall to wall VHS tapes? That would be a no! DVD's eventually will go out like VHS, as more technologies become available. Not nesecarily Blu-ray, but maybe the next one after that, or the next.

Netflix carries both Blu-ray & regular dvd. Probably what you heard is from this point going forward you can get any movie they add to their shelves will be in Blu-ray & dvd.

Update: Well I received the PS3, haven't hooked it up yet. The TV is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Can't wait! We did get our first blu-ray movie. I let my wife pick the shit out since I couldn't find a Wii for her. And you gotta keep the wife happy, anyways she picked "Meet the Robinsons" Some animated movie, I guess we'll see how good the setup looks later this week.
