Blue Crush Metallic Thread

Got a little snow a week or so ago…

 

Snow already? Must be rough.

 

Fresh off the lot today- 2022 TRD Sport w/Manual. Great bells and whistles for the trim and the color is awesome!

 

Picked mine up yesterday after an 8 hour round trip to Pittsburgh. Had all the options that I wanted at MSRP, the color as well as the predator steps are really growing on me.

 

I know Black is the cool thing for accessories right now, but does anyone else think Chrome would look really good on the Crush Blue? Seriously thinking about doing chrome for my nerf and bull bars.

 

My thought is you need to commit one way or the other with key parts of the vehicle.

It is completely stock with no runners and chrome decals right now so it is a clean slate, why I'm thinking about it now before I start then need to repurchase.

 

I think that chrome with the blue metallic would give it a nice retro vibe.

 

I think you're onto something with the washing... I hand washed mine today and got that film crap off and boy it makes a difference. Not that I don't wash it... Just haven't hand washed it...

What brand bed cap is that. I've been unable to find a color matched one for the blue.

 

It's a Leer. Honestly, not very impressed with it, the third brake light seal was screwed up and it leaked a lot and one of the brackets for the struts on the windoor wasn't installed at the right angle and the strut kept popping off until I bent it. And the tabs that the bolt goes through to clamp it to the truck seem woefully inadequate to keep it from sliding. I eventually added a bunch of clamps to keep it in place. Color looks good though.

Oh and if you see it in person it doesn't look purple at all I think it just looks that way in pictures.

 

Polarized/ing lenses will do it, too. My sunglasses definitely make the truck have a purple glint. I don't mind it at all.

Very nice is it a manual or auto?

 

Looks great and is it similar to Indigo Ink? That was one of my favorite colors as it had this purplish hue to it, when light hits it.

 

Auto. In Canada the Double Cab OR's only come auto and didn't want to wait even longer for a Pro. First vehicle I've had with auto, coming from a Subaru Crosstrek with a manual.

 

Thats strange I've always thought Canada had more manual equipped new vehicles but Toyota is phasing out the manual transmission for everyone soon. But the 6 speed auto is nice too and more efficient, I just prefer to row myself helps me stay attached to vehicles longer I think.
