Blue fog light

Looking for blue fog lights that will directly fit in place of the stock 2010 Tacoma fog lights? Does anyone have these or can point me in the right direction. I would like a plug and play....

 

Are you wanting a blue bulb, blue housing, or blue lens?

I hate to do this as well but you do know (being a retired deputy and all) that mounting a blue light on a vehicle in MA requires a license for such correct?

 

I doubt anyone makes them. First reason is that blue might be the absolute worst color light for cutting through fog. Secondly, in the states that I am familiar with, having any color of light on the front other than white (although some juveniles among us install intense aftermarket bluish color temp headlamps) and amber is illegal.

 

I put Hella yellow fog bulbs in mine, they work great in fog.

 

Yes I understand all the above but they make blue replacement units with the halo ring that is blue more for turning on on the beach and off-road the beach is more for show just wondering saw a few around...

Don't ask anything to me about how to install them however, I am an electrical novice

 

Just stick with a legal color like AMBER

 

Wait I just realized OP is a retired LEO.

In other words, he will run blue lights because he's now above the law.

Not above the law just easier to get away with things but live in a different state and on Cape Cod things are really lax on the beach and off road....

 

I looked into this months ago; then found out they are quite strict on anyone other than emergency vehicles and police using blue. You can find them, but you'll draw all kinds of heat for it. They don't want motorists to think a police cruiser is behind them when it's just Joe Blow.

 

Yes I once was on the other side and most likely would pull someone over for that but the fogs that come with the ring that lights up blue can be turned on and off... So you can have them on for show or off-road beach use!!!

As relaxing as the Cape beaches are, Rangers are not the easiest people to deal with. I spend a lot of time at Race Point/hatches harbor. GL
