They do definitely stand above the rest, then again all the high metallic content special colors have. Pyrite Mica, Blue Ribbon and Spruce Mica get crazy amounts of attention. I have a Spruce Mica myself and it's usual for me to get a compliment on the truck at a gas station, car wash or even just a random parking lot probably 3 or more times a month... It's crazy how much people notice these rare colors.

I get people complimenting the color sometimes. First day I purchased the truck I had one guy come up to me in the parking lot and ask if it was a custom paint job lol. However I owned the truck for only a couple of hours at that point so everything was looking mint.

Anyone have a mesh grill on their Blue Ribbon Metallic yet, if so, did you go with flat or gloss black and what emblems if any? I can't make up my mind what direction I want to go.

I'd go flat black and am thinking of doing something with my bumper and those shiny badges. Badges? We don't need no stinkin badges!

Up2nogood - did your grill come that color or did you have it painted? Looks good.

I'm not opposed to a little chrome/silver, just planning to keep it small and limited. Thinking either the old FJ style 'TOYOTA', or the 'Model T' from diazfabrication. Or maybe just the TRD emblem I currently have in the lower bottom edge. What I do know is that I want to mount a pair of 6" lights behind the grill for those times I'm in need of extra light and have yet to see a mounting option I care for on the front.

Thanks, the grill came powder coated black. Actually it was a grill insert (just the mesh) so I had to modify the original grill to accept the mesh insert.

Scookum....Nice truck. Are those the OEM running boards? I've been looking at those but wondered how useful they were for actually entering the truck. My wife and daughter would like something to help them step into the truck and I wondered if they provided decent space to step on. I can't tell from the pictures I've seen.

Yeah those are the stock running boards. My truck isn't lifted so I don't need them to get in the truck. I've driven gravel/dirt roads all my life and know what they do to the paint on the sides of trucks. I've always put running boards on my trucks to prevent the chip damage. I can stand on them no problem when washing the top of the cab, I would say my size 9 1/2 boot is on about half way when standing on them. If you want I can take some measurements.

Thanks for the info. Sure, if you don't mind. I'd mostly like to know how wide they are and roughly how far they stick out. I like the look of them. I don't have a lift either so I'm thinking these might work well. Thanks!
