You make zero sense. Why would you have an attorney call a dealer? Do you think they weld some magic power? The only thing dumber than threatening to call a lawyer is actually following through. My wife would gladly take your money. PM me next time you only get 3 nuggets in your happy meal. She will gladly take your $2000 to make a phone call to Ronald on your behalf.

Indeed, Time frame is different from state to state for customer protection. The selling dealer is unlikely to take him seriously about turning the vehicle back in or repairing it if he simply calls himself.

It's different in every state but most require the dealer to offer some sort of warranty. Its usually only a few weeks with a small mileage cap. Some states also have a price clause as well. Like a $2500 dollar car can be sold as-is, but more expensive vehicles will have some sort of short term warranty.

This is an example of how it is in CT.

Dealers must give express warranties in Connecticut:
    • If the car costs between $3,000 and $5,000 and is less than 7 years old (The dealer must cover all repairs necessary to keep the vehicle mechanically sound and operational for at least 30 days or the first 1,500 miles, whichever comes first).
    • If the car costs more than $5,000 and is less than 7 years old (The dealer must cover all repairs necessary to keep the vehicle mechanically sound and operational for at least 60 days or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first).
    • If the car costs less than $3,000 and is more than 7 years old, the dealer can sell the car “As Is,” meaning no warranty, if the dealer provides a disclaimer on the front page of the contract of sale and you indicate your assent to the disclaimer.
    • A dealer cannot exclude or limit an implied warranty on a car that costs more than $3,000.00.
    • The express warranty must provide that if the car breaks down during the warranty period, the dealer is responsible for all repairs necessary to keep the vehicle mechanically sound and operational.
    • If the car is in the repair shop for more than a day, the warranty is extended for every day the car is in the dealer’s or his agent’s shop.
    • A dealer cannot limit a warranty under the above conditions by using phrases such as “fifty-fifty,” “labor only,” or any other words that attempt to limit the dealer’s responsibility to the buyer.

    first page dude says

"after some time" and "i already did a lot of mods on it"

this leads us to believe even if he was in CT that 30/1.5. or 60/3 are probably already gone.

nice edit. so based on your posts ITT you're not an attorney or a mechanic.

i mean i guess it's possible you're an expert in bird law or repairing lego technic vehicles.

Here is the call I got today, not a good news but a lot of bad news.

it burnt a quart oil in 1000 miles.
They need 14k-16k to rebuild the engine! Probably gonna take weeks.
They don’t have new engines when I asked how much it gonna cost.
So I called the dealer who I bought truck from and he said let me see how I can help you, you need to bring truck back I will make my Mechanics look at it, Toyota makes money like this don’t worry We will figure something out.

Did they tell you what the issue actually was? Valve stem seals, seats…Rings?

In any case, that truck wasn’t built or taken care of well.
