One of the best ways to expose police misconduct is a video camera.

I read his manifesto as well and there were alot of things I disagree with.

First off, he basically paints the entire LAPD as racist. From what I know about LAPD, they are about 35% white.

He also says that one day riding in a van with fellow officers that a white person used the term n*gger. He says his response to that was to choke the guy around the neck.

He should have been fired right there. However, the suspect says what he should have done was shoot the guy in the head with a 9mm.

This man is highly irrational and crazy and a violent lunatic (among other things)

Like I said in previous posts, I am no huge fan of police and I am often critical of them, but this really isnt a person to be championing the cause.

I hope this guy is shot on sight. He deserves it.

In his manifesto he only complains about white people and Christians.

You didn't read the whole manifesto then. He talks about the white cops, Mexican cops, black cops, and Asian cops.

Okay, I guess I was wrong. Apparently there are different versions, some more redacted than others.

I'm starting to think the truck was a decoy, torching it was a good way to draw attention to it. Why else would you do that, if you wanted to hole up somewhere up there, you'd want as much lead time as you could get, torching the truck shortens that lead time. Decoy is the only logical reason, he knew that torching it wouldn't stop a positive ID of the vehicle, at best just slow it down a tad, not worth it, not like he has to eradicate evidence or prints, why then?
If he had another vehicle stashed up there, he could torch the truck, take off in the car heading out the back way towards the desert and if no one spotted him (which if no one is looking for the car he's in now), then the cops would logically assume he took off on foot into the mountains.

I don't think he has an accomplice, not unless he found someone who is just as whacked as he is. Even in LA that could be a stretch.

Agreed. I don't think he left LA. He wants them. Nobody else. I'm thinking these past 2 years have been spent planning every item out. Following his old bosses. Who says he didn't set the truck up in that area with some time delay set up and then back to LA before they knew anything.

Bad PR for the anti gun side. Can't have that in the media.

Another thing that doesn't make sense, his manifesto states that he has a bunch of targets that he obviously hasn't got to yet. But he tried jacking a boat to flee? Doesn't make sense to me. If he wanted to carry out more attacks he needs to be within striking distance of LA, can't do that from Mexico. Plus he would stick out like a sore thumb down there, the locals would give him up quick. Was the boat a diversion too?
Maybe, if I wanted to keep killing people....
He knows they're looking at his phone records, DMV and credit card stuff.
Hmmm first off he needs a place to hole up, he could do that in the Mojave, lots of places no one would look, A properly stocked hideout could keep him out of site for months. The back side of Big Bear goes right into the Mojave.
Second, he would need a car that isn't registered to him, his family or anyone that would report it missing or stolen, not for awhile anyways. Maybe out of long term parking lot at an airport? Off of CL with a false ID? No, someone would remember him. Impound car with switched plates? Maybe. Maybe stolen from someone who is out of country? Active duty maybe? That would work quite well. Might be months before someone figured out their car is gone.
Credit card, if I was him and I wanted the police to believe I was up in Big Bear somewhere I would put a bunch of cold-weather gear on my credit card just before all of this. When in reality i was making cash purchases of gear at military-surplus stores for the gear I really need. Spread out the buys among a bunch of stores so no one store notices a whole bunch of stuff being bought at once.
Now I would be set up to wait for things to calm down and for my targets to let their guard down. If I have spent months learning my target's habits then I could sneak into the valley and pick them off one by one.

Sell this to a film director, make bank off said movie (possibly turn it into a porno?) and lay back for the rest of your life. :D dude, you could OWN Colin kaepernick with your money.

    Just an idea...
