I mean he has been doing this for a week already and from the information we have been given he has kept his cool pretty well, he even has a support group over on FB so I wonder how many aiding and abetting charges may come.

^This. Also, I'm glad I don't get shot at while I'm out doing my paper route. Hope the LAPD get the sucker, but (no offense) they seriously gotta do better than this- shooting innocents?
    Also, stay safe guys.

You know I've been thinking about this. What happens if the police would have mistakenly opened fire on someone like they did the Taco who has a CCW. Could you return fire in self defense?

Wow....I was following up on this story....And the NY times appears to be smoking crack as well:

"In Torrance on Thursday, two women delivering newspapers were shot and wounded by police officers who mistook the Honda pickup they were driving for the gray Nissan"

    What the hell! :crapstorm::angrygirl:

    http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/09/us/california-police-officer-manhunt.html?_r=0

goes to show how accurate the media can be sometimes.

I must have misread it yesterday, too many stories and too many incorrect descriptions I guess.

I don't really think he had any real plan. Seems like a bunch of psychotic ramblings more than anything. If he was going to target the actual officers he said you think he would have made an attempt before everyone was looking for him rather than just randomly opening fire on people.

I know the original 2 people he targeted but I hadn't hear anything about the 2 cops he rolled up on at a traffic light and shot as being officers he had specifically mentioned on killing nor the other random gun fight he got into. Plus a lot of the people he's mentioned in one way or the other are people he's never even met or ever had anything to do with the guy.

I'm merely saying outside of those first 2 when no one was after him not it just seems like he'll target anyone in uniform vs having any real thought out plan to kill all those other people he's mentioned.

But the police officers that were shot were not 100% random, I read they were on their way for surveillance at one of the named officers in his manifesto. So he knew they would be coming and ambushed them. I agree the man has gone completely off the deep end, but I'm not so sure he doesnt know what he is doing or that he is stupid

The whole thing is very strange. He seems to have very detailed accounts of the ways he was wronged, the ways he was hacked and the officers that lied in court to cover it up. Every piece of society has corruption, LEO's are not immune to it. But we also have to remember that is just his side of the story. When he talks about wanting to strangle a fellow officer it shows he already had deeply rooted anger issues, which can also make you think maybe the LAPD was correct in firing him.

I think most can agree no matter what happened to him his reactions are over the top. People are fired everyday, if you have real honor get over it and get another job

LAPD officers guarding a target named in the manifesto shot and wounded two women in suburban Torrance who were in a pickup truck delivering newspapers. Investigators said Maggie Carranza, 47, and her mother, Emma Hernandez, 71, were in a Toyota Tundra, similar to Dorner's Nissan Titan. Carranza had minor hand injuries. Hernandez was hospitalized with a gunshot wound in the back. A lawyer said they had no warning.

They couldn't even release the correct model truck. Looks like someone needs to go and play a matching game with their 4 yr old.

This is pretty ridiculous though. As said before, No pid then you don't shoot.

I sure don't want to take my MGM Taco to Big Bear today for some fresh skiing.

Interesting. Hadn't seem the surveillance part so guess he could have known those cops would be around even though he wouldn't have known who they were.

But yea at the and of the day none of it will make complete sense. Anyone who is trying to clear their name by killing people obviously is well beyond any rational thought.
