So what if the driver of the tacoma had a CCW. I'd feel threatened if I was shot at for no apparent reason.

I brought that up like 30 pages ago lol. No one really responded. Did get me wondering though that would really have turned into even more of a clusterfuck if the person started shooting back in self defense and ended up killing the cop.

    That would've been a disaster!

I was in a similar situation one time. 2 off duty LEOs approached my truck (plain clothes, no badge or identification showing) with sidearms. The back story behind this is long so I'll skip the details. But it was mid day on private property and I was just sitting in my truck. No reason for the contact and since u had no clue who they were... I drew. All I saw was 2 people with white T's and jeans with tattoos approaching me with guns.

Once I had them at gunpoint they quickly identified themselves. Luckily after seeing ID that was the end of it. If they had drawn back it would haven ended badly, very very badly. Sadly it would have been a justified shoot on my end, although I doubt the media would have portrayed it that way.

If those ladies opened fore back in "self defense" wow that would just be a giant clusterfuck!

Questions I have........ # 1 - Why was the truck left where it was ? The police said the truck had a broken axel but the road/trail is definetly NOT a harcore or rough trail and normally wouldnt even require 4x4. I know Titans are softcore trucks but I think my civic could make that trail.

    # 2 - Why was the truck set on fire ? There doesnt seem to be any reason the suspect would light the truck on fire unless his intention was to draw attention to the truck. Why would he want to draw attention to the truck ?

    # 3 - The police shooting of the blue Tacoma.....according to LAPD they say they had received information that Dorner might be heading to the Torrance area. Then they say they spotted the blue Tacoma on the 405 freeway and tracked it to the street where the shooting occurred. They say they informed the officers doing security detail that the truck was headign towards them.
That would mean they had eyes on the truck for about 4 miles at least. Did anyone even bother to look inside the window ? Why didnt they attempt to pull the truck over if they thought it might be Dorner ?

Destroys all print evidence, and also throws off the scent for the dogs. Heard it on the radio today, it's counterintelligence procedure.
