Composite. Just sorta came with the truck. The plus side is no need for a bed mat now!

 

Fit finish issues with the tundra, I like trying new things and wanted something smaller for now. Got rid of my big boat, so no need for a full size. I’d buy another tundra though. I’ll take a rattle over a ford oil leak any day.

A healthy dose of Swiss/German genetics, OCD and I simply don't buy a lot of junk. I have a few rules in life:

• Try to buy quality once instead of junk twice, even if it means I have to save a bit longer
  • Note: greater price does not always equal better quality
  • A "brand" is nothing more than a device used to get you to buy again
• Don't buy anything I don't need or on impulse, all purchases are planned and evaluated
  • Use a category (envelope) based budgeting system. e.g. YNAB, Ramsey, envelope method
  • Pay cash / cash equivalent for everything possible (personal exception: house)
  • If I cannot afford 2, I do not buy 1.
• If I do buy something, with few exceptions e.g. tools, and I don't use it for a year, it gets donated to charity and used as a tax writeoff
• Be grateful for what you have and don't be greedy
• If I bring it with me in the truck, it leaves when I get out. (e.g. drinks, trash)
• Store your 2nd most valuable possessions, not your trash in your garage.
• Pickup/Clean a little bit all along the way and you never have backed up chores
• Hug your momma

 

Amen and . Especially buy quality and do so without debt. It took some savings and a trade-in to buy my 23. So glad to have it.
Another one I like to go by is
“One is none, two is one”
Meaning it’s best to have two of something you NEED rather than one. ​

I like what I've been seeing / reading with the 8 speed auto, but I feel like if /when I ever replace my current taco, I would lean towards the MT.

Welcome to 2024. I wish our incomes increased with the cost of goods! I wanted the premium package but there weren't really any incoming in a color I like in my area according to the spreadsheet. I have a swanky audi as a commuter, so I don't really need the vinyl leather imitation seats.
