My trailer has no trailer brakes. I would like to use the blue wire for small aaccessory light. Is the blue wire always energied or only when you step on the brake. I know the black wire is always energied but I already have an electric winch installed and dont want to overload that circuit..

    Thanks in advance.

Blue wire is only enerzised by the brake controller, center pin of your 7pin connector is for accessory light
