    Every week I set a plan for what I need to get done.

    Usually by noon Sunday it hits the ditch. So be it.

    Here's what needs to get done. Wire fogs. Install new headlights. Grease rear driveshaft. Install t-case skid. 885/887 swap.

    Goal this week is any 2. A 3rd would be cool. Do not attempt 4 or more.

    The pain from skids/sliders/bumpers/winch adventure is almost gone. That was like work.

    Got the # from Craigslist. The seller has 'em in a booth at a Peddlers Mall. Has 'em priced on CL @ $100. I'd pay that for this set. I go there, lo and behold, a $60 price tag.

    Beats $100. He said they were on the truck about 200 miles. (TSB replacement, followed shortly by lost engine mod.) Was on an '05 for that short piece of time. Will be on 2011 later today.

    The bumper blocks one screw that holds the headlight. So. Bumper off again. I'll change headlights drop ifs skid and remove sway bar. While doing that install bumper reenforcement brackets.

    The weight of the aluminum bumper and skids along with winch and sliders, less all the crap I removed, and the front end rides PERFECT. Not wanting to change anything.

    So. Take off sway bar and raise the front 3/4"....

    I doubt shedding the weight of the sway bar will do much if that's what you mean. I say go for it!!

    Not thinking about the weight of the sway bar. Looking @ 65lbs saved in the bumper and 35 saved in skids. Just enough added to get a good ride, not enough to sink the front end.

    Pelfreybilt supplies bumper to frame reenforcements that bolt on where the sway bar attaches to the frame. You can use both @ same time. I'm using this as an experiment to see if I miss the sway bar or not.
