This looks like a 1st gen topper, hence the price.

I have a hunch you're right. Surprizingly though, other than yours and Carters, I'm not finding many 1st gen caps.

Any movement on your topper yet? I'm getting crazy numbers of PMs on the subject since I started posting about buying/selling them. Any requst for 1st gen I'll send your way.

I'm amazed at the number of CL and FB ads that sellers don't respond to request for info....Called on 5 more in past week with no reply.

    Topper buyin' season apparently!

I've got one for a full size Chevy that is starting a bidding war. 3 people lining up for tomorrow morning. I asked $550. Got one guy offering $950. He's 3rd on the list. It'll go to the first person who promised to buy it (@ $550) if he gets here by noon.

End of August is the time to sell. Hunting seasons open up tomorrow and people want those toppers for fall.

I've lived in Kentucky for 16 years now, and still not 100% used to hunting seasons in Ky. In Indiana, deer archery season starts an entire month later. Gun season well after that. Not programmed to think in terms of Kentucky's season....

Went to get topper. Did not get topper. It is a Snugtop brand. Silver didn’t match. I think it is your model silver. Rear window latch was misaligned on the left side and the entire rear glass didn’t seat evenly. Wire harness was all ripped apart for third brake light and there is an ant colony living in the headliner. Paint was chipped and flaking all around bottom edge. Plus overall I just didn’t like how it looked on my truck.

I asked about the tailgate(to replace my dented one) and tail lights(for black tail light mod experimentation). Wanted $250 for tailgate and $50/per tail light. I said no thanks.

Looking at those as a likely choice for the 'Cruiser.

Working Sunday/Monday of Labor Day weekend. Not feeling real good this morning. Get me through this weekend. Shut down the pool on tuesday...then the work load diminishes somewhat.
