OK! Skid plate install is done! T-case skid had me buffaloed. It was the easiest of the 3, all 3 being very easy.

From getting tools out, through drilling frame, to putting everything away, 65 minutes. One man job provided you have 2 floor jacks. (One each side)

Now the under side is protected from bumper to just past carrier bearing. Exhaust cross-over pipe is well protected.

Next? Quick fist mounts, then front coil swap. I'll probably order the new grill tomorrow or Friday.

Then... No more until after Harlan trip.

Ordered 6 tee nuts from W W Grainger. I need 3, figured I'd get some spares. They send me 6 HUNDRED tee nuts. Either I have 597 spares, or I pay return freight.

Nothing is ever as easy as iit should be.....

Bought em through work. Probably have to return entire shipment then re-order. Let me see how this plays out. They're about $3 each. Not gonna be buying $1800 worth of tee nuts. I'll call em tomorrow.

Not much more than that from Graingers....and we get a buyers club rebate of 20% .They would have been cheap enough had they not sent a freakin' 120 lb crate of 'em.

Shovel is mounted. Additional pair of quick fist's will be installed at a later date. I bought an axe that fits in the tool box. Other quick fist will be to mount a mattock. Still undecided if it will be installed or not. Never actually needed it. May just forget about it for the time being.

    20170907_192306.jpg

All I have left to do is the coil swap, install EBC green brake pads, and the new grill when it gets here. Then I'm done for a while.

I went to the job interview yesterday. All went well. Offer is for a position that will be open as of Jan 1st. They want to find a suitable replacement for someone who is retiring. Job will start December 1st in order to work with out-going estimator for a month. I was told I'm their #1 choice at the moment, with 2 more people to interview.

It pays well. Would be a $12,000 increase from my current job. Insurance after 60 days. 2 weeks vacation after 6 months, 5 days personal time available upon signing contract. Company truck to drive to/from home. (Parking lot full of Chevy 3/4-tons...Guessing it's one of them)

They will let me know by November 1st.
