    This week's "projects"....

New grill will get here wed. Install should take about 5 minutes.

EBC brake pads laying on work bench. Not a huge job...

Exhaust pipe needs a 30 second meeting with sawzall. Cut off @ rear axle.

May order front light bar. (Baja Designs)

Finish packing tool box. 2-1/2 years is too long. It's time.

Instal last set of quick fist's... Then axe.

    Tune up chain saw.

Rotate beer in fridge... Rotate it to empty can barrel.

Dumb ass friend w/XJ that got stuck friday night just called. He wanted to know if I was at work, and if not, can I help him get the Xj home. He was on hos way to work when all hell broke loose. Fan into radiator. After getting out and looking, wheels don't center up in fender openings. Looks like the body is shoved back 2" to 3" on frame. The way I saw it when he slid down the hill and got stuck, would have thought it to be just the opposite.

Massive rust on most body mounts and butchered frame. Suggested he find another XJ and strip all (any) good parts off current ride. Start over.

Moar mods! Exhaust is now bobbed just past rear axle. No tailpipe getting shoved into quarter panel.

D-shackles on front bumper now match those on rear bumper. The pair that was on front bumper now reside in recovery bag.

There will soon be a second recovery bag. One for winch stuff...one for strap stuff. This will help keep them from being a single combined HEAVY bag.

Time to play with the birds.

    Nope.

Why put myself through this again?
Like what I have. Friend has a 2017. You coudn't give me one after seeing the problems he's had. They aren't all that bad, but why take that chance. Time to enjoy what I have.

Not one single issue with this truck. No rust..no mechanical issues...nothing showing wear...never been submerged...and I've been VERY fussy about what I've done. Got like I want it.

I wasn't suggesting a brand new one. You know better than that!

Thinking out loud; stuff still to do.

    1. Tint front door windows
    2. Install grill (this wed.)
    3. 20" light bar in front bumper
    4. LEDs in rear bumper
    5. OEM roof rack
    6. Swing out spare tire rack
    7. Install (5) SEMA wheels
    8. 285/75r17 (34") STT PROs
    9. ARB air locker (front)
    10. Alum gas tank skid
    11. Rear locker solenoid guard
    12. Kings
    13. AllPro expo's
    14. Sport hood

    Not necissarily in that order.
