Well, I've about decided on a 2009 double-cab but cannot find the JBL with Bluetooth option. So, I'll give up on that and put an add-on in. Not wanting to replace entire system. My question is:

Does anyone out there have the BLUECONNECT system that Toyota pushes (see link below). Install looks nice but it has its own speaker and doesn't come through radio. THis is fine...as long as the volume is adequate. I hate the little visor units that are cool if you are not driving 70 with off-road tires. For those that have BLUECONNECT or other after market units...let me hear your opinions.

I have the blueconnect. I've only played with it once and it worked pretty good. Personally I'm thinking about taking it out.

No experience with the blueconnect units. We sell Parrot products for add on bluetooth. We do alot of them, and they work well. They have some nice display options, Phonebook tranfer works better then on most aftermarket units. These units do wire in between the headunit and the speakers so it mutes the radio and plays the call through the speakers. Hope this helps. and by the way aftermarket almost always cheaper then factory.
