Regardless of the autoplay feature, your solution still requires unnecessary time and user interaction, which was your gripe in the first place... & you never answered the question, "What did you write Toyota about?"

Mine doesn’t auto play where I left off, it sometimes (but not always) starts playing the first song in my library. And even if the last audio source I used was FM. So I think there is a bug in there somewhere, not just a feature.

Nope. I also have a Note 8. It also used to work just fine, until they updated it.

It also did the same thing when playing to a UE Megaboom speaker, until I used the Amazon Music app, then it works fine.

I've had awful luck with google play lately. I really liked it a while back but the desktop upload feature is absolute fuckin' trash. Deletes music, can't upload music, renames music to vague descriptions despite all of the properties and tags being correct (I'm neurotic about my music organization). I'm probably just going to get a FiiO high-res DAP with bluetooth. The X5 mk2 looked pretty great while you could get it, maybe I'll go M9

Sorry, I didn’t see your other question.

I wrote them about a lot of things like adding an option to disable autoplay, adding CarPlay to the new Entune system, sat comm for Nav map and Entune updates and I also mentioned using better front end shocks for the OR models, better OEM batteries and improving brake system components.

Used mine today with all the latest updates. Worked just fine, no stoppages. Have you tried clearing all caches, reinstalling, etc?

Yeah, I've always loved music more than the average person probably does. I think it'd be great to see if I can actually discern a difference. I try to keep excellent headphones in the house too

If you are on android, there's an app called tasker. It automates everything. You could set it up such that when it connects to your head unit it quits all the audio programs on your phone.

Tasker spams the device with fullscreen ads and hides the fact that it did it. It's been reported to Google but...

It doesn't play but it shows the title on the head unit. Ask me how I know... :bananadead:

Got a source for that claim? I've been using Tasker for several years on many devices and haven't had anything like that. Perhaps you've got some shady plug in or other issues?

Me. I was the 1200-someth person to report it. It could be a vulnerability on Tasker's part that something else exploits, but Tasker was the process that put the ad on the screen, then logged it (how I figured out where it was from). Whether it's Tasker or a Tasker vulnerability, the result is the same.

I've literally got Tasker running on 3 devices right now, I'm a bit
Interesting, I've been running it for years on a several devices and haven't had any issues as you describe, and know many others who haven't as well. Must be some other janky app exploiting Tasker, as it does use some pretty deep permissions to do all it's capable of doing.

I was shocked (SHOCKED) to see the screen write in the log. I've been using it for years on rooted and vanilla phones.

It could be something else exploiting Tasker, but it didn't look like it. Uninstalling it corrected the popup fullscreen ads. Reinstalling it did not result in more ads, but I uninstalled it again a few hours later cuz what happened once...

It took forever to find what was doing it, and Android is a big glop of my total bread/butter.

PlayerPro is working great. It was worth the price to get something that actually works. It will even keep playing after sitting overnight. It does forget where it was in a song from time to time, but other than that works fine.
