Try the iPhone settings under accessibility-touch-call audio routing.

    First post.

I asked Toyota about this today. The most recent iOS update has a compatibility issue with the truck's Bluetooth. Fix from the dealer: wipe the truck out of the Bluetooth on the phone and do the same on the truck, "forget" the truck and the phone. Re-pair and it should work. He offered some blurb about this condition being triggered by use of an emoji in a text while being paired.

I’m still having dropped call issues. The dealer is blaming the iPhone. I have no issues with my phone in my other two cars. Very frustrating.

I have disconnected, reconnected, installed/updated the app, deleted the app, deleted/added the phone, forgotten the tacoma on bluetooth, updated to new IOS, 13.6, turned phone on/off, deleted the Safari history, turned bluetooth on/off, and mine STILL drops calls as of 7/27/20.

Never used to do this until about 3-4 months ago. No dealer visit cause they are going to blame my phone.

    Help please.

Yup, mine started doing this as well. Even goes as far as hanging up my phone call completely at times.

I just tried this today, and it worked! I've been struggling with dropped calls at first and then my phone (iPhoneX) wouldn't even pair with the truck. Very frustrating. I deleted the Entune app, deleted and then reinstalled my phone...and viola, it worked.
    Thank you, Nitesmoke.

(Forgot to add - I also turned off the phone after deleting the app. Might be an important step)

This started happening on my iphone 11. I guess I'll try deleting the device from each and repairing. Sucks, since my last two phones, both Android, worked fine with it for over 3 years.

I've recently started having this problem as well, I deleted the app a while back because it wouldn't let me use the text feature but the problem started a couple months ago. took the vehicle to the dealership and they updated the radio but its still dropping calls. ill try repairing the phone and restarting it to see if it works but GOD is this shit annoying

Just started having this issue as well over the summer, but I have a wrinkle: it only happens with my work iPhone (8) that IT auto-pushes updates to when they arrive. My personal iPhone (7) never has this issue, and I keep both bluetoothed at all times (work phone is only bluetoothed for calls as I don't keep music or podcasts on it.) I haven't updated the iOS on my personal phone in over a year at least. maybe longer.

Just an additional food-for-thought, it may not be iOS updates, but it happens 9 out of 10 calls with my work phone which always has the newest updates, and has never happened with my personal.

I signed up for this forum because the disconnection rate when iphone is connected to bluetooth is absolutely unacceptable. It is a serious safety issue! When I'm on a call and the head suddenly says "call ended" and then I need to look down at my phone only to find I can press the speaker phone and the person is still there??

Anyone know if Toyota is aware of this critical flaw in their software?

I also had to spend the last 250 miles of my drive the other day using my earphones because the truck wouldn't pick up my bluetooth. I put phone in airplane, reset it, turned off and on bluetooth.... all while driving.. that was really stupid and unsafe of me to do while driving but..

I'm going to see if deleting the stupid etune app helps, which was mentioned in a previous post. I still think Toyota needs to know about this safety issue. I'll call service tomorrow and see if they have anything to say. sooo frustrating!

Resetting the radio has gotten the call back for me. Still, we shouldn't have to do that. It seems like my problems started around the time I got my AirPods. I have also had times when I couldn't end a call using the truck controls.

I also am having this same exact issue, i have tried everything mentioned, one thing I was thinking of was to disconnect the battery for a few mins and see if that any effect. Maybe trying to delete all bluetooth connections in my phone. I have a iphone 8 ios 14.1

Any of you happen to check if there's an update to the head unit from Toyota's download website here?

From what I understand, searching for an update via the headunit is only for entune apps, not the head unit itself.

Here's an example T-SB to take a look at.
This TSB will not cover everyone here, so don't follow this one if it doesn't apply to your vehicle!

Just did an update similar to this one on the girl's 2018 Camry yesterday because her Samsung kept disconnecting. Has worked so far.

I checked the website and have that update, but the TSB shows a update, would you know how to get the .kwi file?
