Haven't attempted it yet, but the T-SB should contain a download link. I don't know if it points to TIS or elsewhere that may be inaccessible.

Is your current version listed in table 2 of the T-SB (Page 14)?
Also, which one do you need? Audio, audio plus, premium?

    Download here
That is 158, make sure that's the one you need before installing and bricking your headunit.

You'll need a thumbdrive formatted as FAT32 (Difficult with MAC products) and 2GB - 4 GB in size
Only have the one .kwi file on your thumbdrive and not within a folder.
When complete, delete personal data from the head unit (there's an option to do so in settings).
Add/configure it as you currently/used to have it set up (add your devices, configure home screen, settings, etc.).

Bump, hoping someone can confirm a fix because I’m having the same issue. Like one other in this thread, mine started dropping when I bought a pair or AirPods and sometimes I can’t hang up a call.

Well, I took mine to dealership for the fuel pump recall and had them look in to the radio pairing issue. They told me they "updated the software." So driving home from dealership talking to mom, guess what? Call dropped off the car and back to iphone.

I found this Toyota TechTip notice provided from back in April 2020- I'll try it this weekend hopefully
    ________________
    1. Verify that the affected iPhone® has the most recent software installed (iOS 13.4 or later). If
there is a newer software version available, ask the customer to install it on their phone.
    2. Have the customer delete the Bluetooth pairing to the vehicle from the customer’s iPhone®.
This is done by navigating to Settings  Bluetooth, selecting the ‘i’ symbol for the device name
that matches the customer’s vehicle, and selecting “Forget This Device”.
    3. In the customer’s vehicle, delete all personal data in the radio settings.
    4. Pair the phone to the vehicle normally.
    5. Check the customer’s Bluetooth settings and verify if the “Automatic Transfer” is enabled, if so,
    disable contacts “Automatic Transfer”.
    6. Check the head unit software version and perform the applicable T-SB if needed.
    7. Connect the customer’s phone and verify if the customer’s concern still occurs.
    8. If the customer's concern cannot be duplicated with the contacts transfer disabled then an
iPhone contact is causing the problem, replacing the head unit will NOT resolve the customer's
    concern.

It is critical that both steps of deleting the pairing from the phone and deleting personal data from the
    vehicle are performed.

Glad I found this. Hope one of these work. I just deleted the app and the pairing and trying that for now. Once I get home I will try to update my radio.
Looking at my radio version compared to the online link it almost seems like my radio is more up to date then the available download.

No it didn't work, its a iphone issue, I have a crap flip phone from work and that works perfectly! go figure...
What I have doing is when receiving a phone call i switch on the phone to speaker( phone speaker) for about 10 seconds, then switching back to the head unit and the call will not drop. Kinda a pain in the ass, but have no choice.

Well... I got sick of it and sold the Tacoma as I finally.. after almost a year of searching.. found a 2020 Tundra. Phone connection works great on that!
If anyone is looking to trade in their Tacoma, I got $39K at Carmax for my 2019 with about 10k miles. Way more than any dealership wanted to give.

Sigh..... same problem.. except mine's a Google Pixel 6 and not an iPhone. But otherwise the problem is exactly as described by everyone here. Disconnects from the head unit in 30-60 seconds, but call still going on the phone. Usually cannot re-connect.

Pixel 6....same issue. Music streams fine, phone calls drop within 2 mins and 50% of the time crashes the entune system. 2019 entune plus i believe.

Double sigh. Done everything. Entune reset and delete data, no sync contacts / msgs on re-pairing. Upgrade entune firmware. Changed bluetooth settings in the developer options, matched it up to the last phone (galaxy 10), same crap.

This is a never ending problem with entune\toyota. Blame the phone, blame whomever. But one things consistent .... every time i have upgraded phone over the last 3 toyotas/entunes i have this same issue. In past its been with galaxy's, plenty of Imob guys on here posting with issues too ... doesnt matter the brand. If you plan on keeping the truck awhile dont upgrade your phone.

Android\Ios devs surely can share the blame too ... how about a little collaboration or research and testing on most popular vehicle systems before releasing updates?

Toyota how about some firmware for the system once every year or two? And teach the damn tech's what it is and how to do it so i dont get a 1000 yard stare every time im at a dealership and ask for one? Or if thats too much to ask... maybe maintain an functioning public dl site and save me from having to download kwi's from a 3rd party site when your public site says there are no updates available when clearly there are if im dl'ing them and the system is updating.

I think at this day and age with cellphone restrictions while driving laws, these fools can get together and and at least ensure compatibility between the two for a minimum of hands free calling. 5-10 years ago this may have been excusable but not anymore.

Notice how the above poster fixed it by trading out the truck....I guess thats one way. Been there done that. See you again next phone (unless you buy a phone as old as the truck next time).

Ive given up im ripping the god*** thing out. Oh wait.....i cant even buy an aftermarket HU right now because there are none in stock. Nice.

    Rant over.

Anyway..... anyone have access to the backend site to check for newer entune updates still? :) Latest i have is the 1/13/20 version, #010177
