    Hey guys,
Standard apology if this has been asked/answered... It feels like one of those issues the dealer would never be able to replicate. I will ask them next time I go for service however I thought I would ask the community.

    2018 Off Road w/ Premium/JBL + iPhone 7

Basically, without much rhyme or reason, when connected to (and usually streaming music via) Bluetooth if I make a phone call via the phone itself, it often freezes up the infotainment system, makes the phone place the call but freak out around which output source to use, the infotainment system resets itself twice, then usually either (tries to resume the call) or by that point I have for the consideration of whom I am calling, goes back to "normal" as I have hung up the call via the phone.

This happens intermittently, easily enough to be aggravating, but I would say about 20% of the time.

It has happened when dialing from the stereo console screen as well, but I don't tend to use that as often, except for the 4 favorites on the home screen, but even then it has happened.

I will try to catch as video of this issue (enough hours in the day???)... but curious if anyone has experienced this, and if so, if the dealer has a fix? I mean, it's 2018... my Subaru with the highly shitty infotainment system didn't aggravate me in the same way! Thanks

Same problem with a iPhone 7 plus and 2018 Limited. Going to have them update the radio FW on Tuesday.

Has happened to me as well. Non JBL. Updated the phone to latest os. Still does intermittently. I plan to go aftermarket eventually.

Try with a different (not apple) phone.
Not suggesting this to get into a match of who likes what phone and who are lemmings or anything of the sort, but apple very often blatantly ignores standards when implementing features, and bluetooth is one of those things with standards that they ignore. Its possible that the manufacturer of the radio didn't fully test every potential usage pattern with apple devices, but rather relied on something else that actually implemented its bluetooth stack according to spec.

This test will hopefully help narrow down the issue and make it easier to reproduce.

Make sure you are running the latest entune update. I had the issue constantly. This has mostly fixed it. I’ve only had it happen a handful of times in the last year since I updated. Before that, it crashed all the time and was basically unusable.

My dealer updated the radio to 01019D and I haven't seen any issues since then but it's only been a couple of days.
