Bluetooth issue with my 2019 SR5

I just leased a 2019 SR5 and I am getting extremely frustrated. When I am on the phone (i have an iphone 11) and using my google maps nav they bluetooth will just disconnect and I won't be able to reconnect the phone unless I shut the car off and turn it back on (for it to end up doing it again). I really do not think its the phone as shutting off bluetooth on the phone and turning it back on doesn't fix the issue - the phone finds the "caraccessorysystem" but it just cannot connect unless I shut the car off and turn it back on.

Extremely frustrated - I had the dealer check it out and they said - "toyota is behind the times on apple that could be it we don't see a problem" - WTF? Any1 else experience this rather unique issue?

 

Update to the latest iOS update that was just released a few days ago

 

Awesome thanks I checked like last week and I was the most up to date I was so frustrated! Updating now!
