Hey guys. Just a quick question. I'm having a tough time trying to get my phone messages to come up on the screen. I have an iPhone 6 and it pairs just fine with bluetooth to the Entune system, and I can make and receive calls. But when I try to go to the messaging screen, nothing is there.
The multimedia manual doesn't have much on this problem. It just says that depending on which phone you are using, some information may not be displayed. Its hard for me to believe that an iPhone wouldn't be compatible.
Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

my android phone (moto x 2014) does not play well at all with entune. ignore is the only options for incoming texts, and play on entune screen does not work to make current audio play.

i have 6s plus and it works great, on your phone in bluetooth after u sync there will be a round looking exclamation looking thing off to the side in your screen. You have to touch that as well or your messaging wont work. Extra step most people forget or dont know about.

Gotta go into Bluetooth on your iPhone, tap the information symbol next to the Toyota Tacoma, then hit show notifications.

i have tried this with my iPhone6 and every time i go to messages in the truck it says something like "would you like to set up messaging? you may have to use your device for this step" every time! if i un-pair and re-pair my phone messages work.

I may be wrong, but I think Entune only picks up true "text messages" and does not pick up "iMessages". that may explain the intermittent performance.

It works with iMessages as well.

I have this exact problem. It's highly irritating. Each time you reenter the vehicle you have to "set up" messages to get texts to come through Entune. Called tech support, who was, as far as I could tell, an adolescent with a poor attitude who was of no help. For reference, have a iPhone 6s Plus running through the JBL system on a 2016 Tacoma. Hope someone knows a work around. I've set it up appropriately through my BT settings and have given the required permissions, yet still, nothing unless I re-set it up each and every time. Irritating to say the least.

I see the Entune iOS app had an update today. Maybe that fixed it. I'm not too hopeful though. I'll let you know.

Mine works on the 2016, if you bother setting it up each time. It takes a good minute or so, and you of course have to remember to do it. Which I don't most of the time unless I'm doing a fairly lengthy drive. Toyota should have just followed GM's lead and allow Apple Car Play. Sorry Toyota, Entune sucks. Much prefer Android Auto or Apply Car Play. Even my Chrysler Unconnect on my 2014 Ram 2500 was way better. At least it worked.

I don't believe it is. I am fairly technically savvy and have duplicated the issue at the dealership to no avail. They have not a clue. What is your OS and Entune set up?

It shouldn't. Qi charging has been around for awhile and is pretty much the standard for wireless charging. Just don't think it be worth the hassle as I would only be using the Qi charger in the truck. You'd have to remove the case when you go with wired charging. Lame move by Apple by not supporting Qi out of the box, but that's another topic altogether. Even the latest Nexus devices don't support wireless charging though so I fear this may be an obsolete technology that is doomed to stay in the truck forever.

i have no idea setup, dealer at deliver did it all , including my phone. I will take some pictures tomorrow and scroll through screens to see what they did if that will help. Mine works so much it bugs me due to the mass text i get!
