Hey all. So I just finished a HU installation in my non-JBL Tacoma. I installed the Pioneer AVH-X4700 unit along with a microbypass and metra steering wheel control interface. Got everything hooked up and tested. Everything works great except for the sound from bluetooth call audio. I can play music from bluetooth just fine, and make a call from the unit, but no call sound is coming from the speakers.

Anybody have any experience with this happening when installing an aftermarket deck? I'm wondering if I have to change up the speaker output wiring on the harness.

    Thanks!

your best bet is to dig into the settings on the deck for bluetooth. im sure something needs to be changed. make sure the phone isn't the one in control when making the call. sometimes you have to change a setting in the phone also.

Aha! Figured it out guys. I triple checked all the wiring and it was fine so I ended up doing a factory reset on the unit. Apparently, upon starting from factory it gives you two options: Standard or Network mode. It was initially set on Network, which is for a 3-way speaker system. And it won't allow you to change it back to Standard unless you do a factory reset.

So I set it up in Standard mode and everything works perfect now, including the Bluetooth calling. Overall sound improved as well.

So far just a tailgate light bar and replaced the backup lights with LEDsl Eventually I'd like to put a topper on it but not many options out there yet. I'm leaning towards a Hi-rise type just for the room. But then again it would be nice to keep the truck in the garage :)
Kamdawg, I too have the same Pioneer head unit AVH-X4700S. I finally got the USB extension hooked up on my '08 DCLB Taco. Anyway I got the settings set to USB for the phone settings and it recognizes the USB sticks but either shows 'NO DEVICE' or 'NO READABLE FILES'. I re-checked the USB drive on my computer and it's a 32GB FAT32 stick. I want to know if you ran into this at all or if you have any ideas......??
