Hey wanted to reply but wasn't sure if this was the best place, but it was the ONLY place I saw. So this looks EXACTLY like what I want to do with my 2010, and our specs are identical. THANK YOU for taking the time to post it for the rest of us! Could I trouble you just to verify that indeed the BT controls you had to purchase and install DID control an aftermarket Pioneer (I bought Pioneer DMH-1500NEX)??

I got on the horn with Crutchfield and purchased the Axxes ASWC-1 this morning to control the existing radio buttons on the left, and then I asked him if it would enable a new BT switch I want to buy and he said twice when I questioned him that there's nothing that will get the BT controls to work with the HU. Is it the specific HU that makes it work or did he not know (he has 13 yrs experience). I really really appreciate if you can take a minute to clarify anything before I pull the trigger on the switch control (almost $200)

Just installed the Bluetooth buttons in my new to me 2011 Tacoma. Truck has the non-JBL stereo with the BLULogic BT system (call and volume up/down buttons below the HVAC controls).

After installing the steering wheel buttons, they do nothing other than light up like the left side radio control buttons. Am I missing something? I made sure they were seeded. I was hoping that the phone answer and hang-up buttons would work. Voice calling would also be nice. Are these buttons only for the JBL BT system?

I just installed the right side Bluetooth buttons and ribbon cable and it did not work for me. I have an aftermarket sony radio and the adapter for the steering wheel controls for the volume they work fine. Is it just a roll of the dice if it’s going to work or am I missing something

One Day. Just bought it 2 weeks ago with 5773 miles on it. Now have 41000+ miles and going strong.
Just completed this mod on my '09. However, none of the lights on the right side work. Left side is ok. Any suggestions. Thanks.
