I too came from a 335i to Toyota. I love my Taco but miss the Bimmer. 12 years with several BMWs before making the change.

Toyota Racing is definitely not a joke, look at the Toyota GR LMP1 team results for this season.

Meaning production vehicles, its a gimmick.

Sorry maybe its not a joke, but nobody has ever said Toyota is known for performance and racing heritage.

I’m in the car business and just had the opportunity to buy a 2016 Cayenne base for $10k below book, could essentially drive it for a year, flip it and still make $.

Took it home for the weekend was going to surprise my GF but holy shit was i disappointed. Can’t believe that POS wears a Porsche badge, swear my Tacoma pulls harder on the freeway and it handled about as good as a Tiguan.

Given it’s just the base V6 but still I was expecting so much more :(

Wait until it needs a repair... you'll get the "so much more :(" you are talking about.

I had a 2005 Cayenne S (bought new) and it had plenty of power and even handled well for an SUV, but it was no sports car. I decided after that, I should just have one of each. The tires that came with it were grippy but sucked in the snow (track rated to 150 MPH) and only lasted 15K (as they were designed to do). Porsche won't turn the rotors on the brakes (because they are rated to 150 MPH), they only replace them with new. To me, that was a bad concept. You pay a lot to have it be able to to go 150 MPH, but it really isn't the kind of vehicle you would take to the track and it was just meh for snow and mud.

The 1JZ and 2JZ had Yamaha designed heads, but the rest of the engine was Toyota designed.
