I installed both the (much cheaper knock off BA) bumper and wings in one go. Bumper was easy. Making the cuts for the wings sucked. There is a measurement for one side and a second measurement for the other. Nothing else. I cut very conservatively several times to get it right.

Final look. I still haven’t dealt with the liner. I heat melted it up and attached it with some zip ties as a temporary solution. You can see it peeking out in the picture. It’s got to go

The actual bumper? I'm not sure why it wouldnt be fine. Its a pretty standard 3rd gen bumper from a pretty reputable company, not to mention it's been out for multiple years at this point.

For reference, I have this bumper and the wings, I've done light winching with it and it's been fine.

I have this bumper, and have used it quite a bit, winching other people out, lol.

Looks great! I saw their sale on IG but was hesitant to pull the trigger as I don't know what to do with the wheel well liner...

Side lights came about a week after the install. Three bolts come out from the back of each wing, and they slide right off the bumper mount. Light bars went on. Wings go right back on. Simple as that. All told it took about 30 minutes since I had the wiring prepared in advance.

I have Diode Dynamic fog lights. So I went cheap on the side lights. Took a little trial and error to find the right size to fit. I went with 7" light.

Did you remove the wings completely to put the light in? Got my DD 6in lights yesterday but havent had a chance to get into it yet.

Body Armor gives you very little room. So I had to take them off completely. You may be able to figure it out without taking off the three bolts. But I could not. At least it was easy.

I did a viper cut on mine a while back and the fender liner is a problem. I trimmed some and used a heat gun to get as good as I could. I'm afraid if I add these BA wings, I may have to address it again. Still following this and curious how you ultimately end up.

Basically what I figured. Theyre easy enough to take off (and might actually make running the wiring easier too actually) so might as well do it.

Def like the wings install wasn’t bad. Take your time. Going to install apex winch this weekend. Worth doing if you have the bumper

I have a used BA bumper i got off a local TW guy.
Havent put it on yet cause I am scared of cutting.
Figure if the truck is going under the knife I might as well do the wings

The bumper itself is not a big deal. Just double and triple check your marks and then take your time cutting. You'll do great.
--The wings are a little more sketchy as the measurements are not the best. But there is plenty of adjustment on the wings to cover a poor cut.

When i installed my bumper, I trimmed to leave about an 1/8" excess (margin or error). You can cut more off but, you can't cut it back on!
