I had the OEM steps on mine and took them off I didn’t like how they affected the lines either. Way better with nothing and I haven’t lifted my truck so getting in is easy without a step

I saw those last night, couldn't visualize having that big truss hanging down like that.

As long as you use an automotive self etching primer first its tough as nails. I did that on my C4 rear bumper and have bonked it on a couple stumps with zero paint damage. Also very easy and unnoticeable to touch up.

I've had them on my 2023 Tacoma for a few months. Didn't liked them as much as the CBI I had on my previous Tacoma, so I took them off and got a set of CBI DOM120 steel.
When I took them off they were filled with rusty water, and, being winter, it took me forever to get them flushed. Had I decided to keep them, I'd definitely run some diesel/used oil thru them before spraying every hole with CRC or another lanolin based fluid.
By comparison, the CBI DOM120 steel cost more than double what I paid for the BA4X4 but I'm too poor to afford cheap.
Also, CBI are wider and get closer to the front mudflaps offering better protection. The set if CBI's I had on my previous Tacoma saved my doors/rocker panel when I flopped a V once and I only had minor damage to the front right fender (see the pic), I highly doubt the BA4X4 would've helped as much.

Sorry, BA doesn't get my vote unless you wanna buy them for looks and to avoid door dings in the parking lot.

The real question is what are u going to use them for …if it’s just for looks then go cheap u can always rattle can spots . If u actually do serious off roading then go with rsi or cali for protection . Having cheap parts off road will cost you more money in the long run .
