Installed Body Armor TC-2963 rear bumper and CREE 2” recessed lights today! Very happy with the bumper and lights. Had some challenges, but it turned out great!

I forgot to mention, the tow package lights wiring harness won’t reach the new bumper. So, going to have to do some wiring. Disappointed, but I can do that!

Didn’t touch the factory hitch at all! As I said, there were challenges, but I am happy with my bumper. And the install was a one person job. Not exactly easy, but doable.

When I bought the bumper, the website said wouldn’t work with back up sensors, and photo showed no holes. I don’t have them equipped, so I didn’t care. When I got bumper, it had 4 holes for sensors. They provided plugs for vehicles not equipped. But, the threaded holes provided to secure those plugs had weld slobber in them. So, my plugs may fall out at some point. Sloppy, but not enough to make me unhappy with this bumper!

This is what I used and it works great. It gives about a foot of extension and I just tucked the unused 4 pin up with some zip ties. Don't go hacking into the wires, plug and play.

Did you have any issues with the tow package light plug not fitting into the hole? I installed mine yesterday and the plug will not snap/or clip in place.

Looks good I had to lengthen my harness as well after adding a Fabfours rear. Kinda of a pain but I soldered and shrink wrapped everything individually to avoid any issues with corrosion over time.

I have had this bumper since like 2018. no problems with it besides the plate lights falling out, so i got bolt lights for the plate.150573199_10219302494453264_451733197360_705a4ed0928da44e2d86ac944fab6e35fe32e2fe.jpg

well, it is over 3 years after you installed your bumper! I have the same issue and asked Body Armor what to do besides splicing. They recommended to remove clips from harness to stretch wiring the 2” needed to attach to bumper and outside male receiver plug. Hubby took truck to cabin, so that will have to wait!
Did you have any issues with your Cree rear LED square lights? The harness that came with the lights is definitely not made for pickups. Overall too short. If plug into rear LEDs, the harness only makes it to be under front and back door of cab (4 door). Did you have a more capsble wire harness?

What I found was that the wiring harness was too intricately bound and secured to stretch it. Unless you are fortunate, you’ll see what I mean. So I bought this:

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector

It basically acted as an extension cord.

Regarding the bumper lights, I remember the harness was short, but very easy to extend.

    Good luck!

It won’t stretch. If you loosen some of the connections holding the original harness and try to route it another way it will still be tight and you will see that it will just rub and cause problems. Get the curt and just plug and play
