Body lift bumper relocation

    2 3/4 leveling kit fender flares front bumper
    120081B7-E61E-4C89-A92C-63270E8B489E.jpg Ok so I’m preparing to put on a 3 inch body lift for my 2013 base Tacoma and right now I have an aftermarket metal front bumper that bolts on directly to the frame and the lift comes with this small bracket to extend the stock light plastic bumper so should I just fabricate a new bracket?

    Any particular reason for the 3” body vs suspension lift? Second. Remember when you make bracket to raise the bumper you have now changed the way the transfer of energy from a front end impact happens so you may not be the same protection and cause more damage to your vehicle.

    I’ve already done a 2/34 suspension lift and I’d like a bit more height so I was planning on doing 2 maybe 3 inch body lift

    Got it. Just make sure fab up some quality brackets. Also the radiator will need to be raised, fan shroud, pay attention to anything that goes from the body to frame, wires, brake lines etc. if you have auto you’ll have to deal with the shift linkage. Steering shaft too. These are things to think about before you do it. The filler tube for the gas tank too.

    Absolutely not worth it, do the proper suspension lift
