Body lift bumper space

    Wow. It looks like the body has shifted on that body lift. It also looks like the spacer is gonna go through the body mount surface as well.

    I cut the mounting plate, moved it down the proper amount, then welded it back together with a backing plate for additional support.

    1" Body lift. For the rear bumper I cut the OE brackets and just moved the bumper up an inch and welded it together again . The welded part ended up being next to the frame which adds a little more support. I know its more for looks than protection before and after I did that. I added a trailer hitch for added protection at the rear which is about 100% more than the stock bumper was to begin with. The front I put a floor jack under the front corner of the bumper and Hammered a couple of the brackets up a little to close some of the gap at the corners of the headlight area. No one knows the difference to look at it. May not be as prim and proper as some may desire but its only an old Tacoma to get me to fishing holes
