Most people on here hate body lifts. I believe most people say if you are going to get one then dont get more than a 1''. Heres my truck with a 1'' BL. Best picture i could find.

Body lifts are very frowned upon here and would be surprised if any one post pics of thier ride with a body lift. They are very dangerous.

Dude, i'm not talking about riding around in that rocky field out back. I'm saying they become incredibly unsafe when trucks that have them get into bad accidents.

at any point anymore bodylift then stock is dangerous as it increases the lenghts of numerous bolts. the shear factor increases astronomically.

Ontop of that, depending on who, and how completes the bodylift, many, many, many things must be modified, and in the long run it creates a bigger problem then its worth.

That's very opinionated - i've only heard negative responses to body lifts online, locally more than 70% of the trucks i know from toyotas on 33s to dodges on 40s they have had ZERO problems with body lifts. In fact they some use the frames space for custom install. Hypothetically - if installed correctly, a body lift should have no affect on the truck other than the COG. There should be no squeaking or shaking... and most off all the body should not slide off the frame when in an accident.

I agree with the first part. But with a 1'', i really dont think it is that big of a deal.

Again, with the 1'' the only thing i had to do was put the the pucks in and loosen the steering thing (Forgot what it is called) to allow the body to move up. There was plenty of extra play in it. Thats why I believe if you are going to do a BL, dont go higher than 1''. With a 2'' and 3'', thats when you get into having to extend everything and I do believe it gets much more dangerous at that height.

But again that's only because "YOU" do not want to have to get extended etc...performance accessories makes a very credible 3" body lift.

I have had many Yotas with body lifts with no problems. I have a 93 Yota with 3'' bodylift since it was 2 months old--- no problems. I totaled one with a bodylift & not one bolt broke. To each his own. Its all in what you want.
