I think that depends on the attitude you went into the shops with. If you're telling them it's an easy job, and call them crybabies for not meeting your expectation, I wouldn't want to touch the truck either.

It’s not a hard job, I’d look for the following, most you already mentioned
    -extension at the steering rack
-extension on the filler neck for the gas tank
    -relocating radiator
-proper length hardware for the 6 cab mount locations and bed bolts, and obviously whatever goofy shit they did to the bumpers.

Shops probably don’t want to touch it like I don’t want to touch someone’s house who said he did all his own plumbing watching YouTube, probably don’t want to accept liability for someone else’s hack work

Were any parts changed/modified to install the body lift (cut/extended steering shaft, cut/extended fuel filler neck, different plate at firewall where the steering column comes through?
You will have to repair or source new/used parts during the lift removal.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
The important question is how much winter Chemicals has the truck seen?

If you lived near me $2000.00 might be to cheap. Some shops might not be insured for Hot work.

I removed a body lift all the bolts needed burnt off. I would charge an easy $2000.00 to do another one I would also need to be real hard up for money.

If the job is that easy why not do it yourself??
