    Don't do it.

    If you're looking for a lift simply for aesthetics, keep it simple and put a 1/2" spacer up front and an AAL in the rear.

    I have a brother-in-law who loves to put them on his trucks. He has a pretty good system. He uses round pipe and welds a washer to each end. He matches the outer diameter to the pipe size plus maybe an 1/8", and the inner diameter to a snug fit to the bolt size. That way, the weight is evenly distributed and the bolt doesn't shift around.

    Mixed feelings on body lifts. Sure, most affordable option but still a massive pain in as* especially if it’s a rusty truck. Secondly, the length of every harness, hose, brake line, etc is made up to reach where it needs to go with the original body mounts. You don’t want to be tugging at that stuff.

    I have my 1in from roger brown its perfect and didn't stretch anything out like wires ect. It was about 2hrs said and done doing it solo. I fabricate for a living, to me its not worth the time to cut my own like you are thinking.
