    Yes it goes up, it won't come all the way up into your cab. besides why move the mount if your tires are gonna hang up on a bolt (-;

    I get the smaller, front bolt goes in with the threads facing UP, but I mean the longer, rearward bolt that goes through the body bushing. That should be no where near the tire since it's approx 3" behind the smaller, front bolt.

    does that make sense? Can the longer bolt be installed thread down (it wont contact any tire or anything since its so far rearward)?

    I have the original, and have wheeled it for several years now with no issues. Alignment no, and no payload that I'm aware of. I look it over a few times a year to see if an issue arises because of this mod and I've found non so far. Of course it does depend on your welding ability.

    Very pleased with the end result. the worst part is grinding down the stock weld for their mount. THAT WAS BRUTAL.

    Everything else, as far as these actual mounts are concerned, is legit. Great product!

    While I had the mounts off, I went ahead and changed the body bushings to the polyurethane Energy Suspension bushings. After 6 years of abuse, the stock ones were done

    Any reason you didn't fill the hole in the frame?

    I chose not to because after mock fitting it all up, the rear edge and all of the upper horizontal piece is flush with the frame and that little 1.5" gap in the front (to me) isnt going to make a structural difference of worth. I welded the front and backside of all edges, minus the top part of the horizontal (obviously you can get to it so thats the only reason I didnt). But that mount isnt going anywhere with it due to how much space there is to weld regardless.

    To me, it wasnt worth the extra time. I did think about it but after seeing how it would sit once complete, knew it wasnt going to have any negative effects. Thats just me. These mounts are solid though.

    Random question:

    is it possible to get the size dimensions of the carriage bolt??? Id rather not have to unbolt mine in case something moves, to figure it out

    Your best bet is to call Gary and ask him. He's pretty busy and isn't on here much

    Going to look mine over tomorrow. May just mess with the caster and see how much clearance I could get, check for slider interference etc. May order this tomorrow.
