    If it's on top of the springs it's effectively a giant bump stop which will keep the springs from coming any closer to the frame (less upward travel).

    Ultimately, your truck has 184k miles on it and has some sizable front spacers. Put those two together and it makes sense that the front CV boots are bad. Lift + Time = Maintenance

    That 4 leaf spring in the back could be a factory pack or could be aftermarket (which could provide lift in the rear). Hard to tell without markings and better images.

    No problems! :) Get them boots/CVs fixed and enjoy your ride. If you ever decide to remove the spacers and do a suspension system check out the suspension forum section. TONS of useful info.
