Yep... I have toytec 2" on mine with a shell.. Will probably need to have timbrens send you a spacer as the timbrens are 5" out of the box...

Supposed to set up with 1" gap unloaded bed.. With my shell on, I have 7". Not really sure what I had with the shell off..

Do you think my factory leaf pack is shot. In a few of these pictures I noticed that it looks like the factory leaf pack is bending at the end of the AAL making me think that the AAL is doing all the work. What does everyone think?

    the leafs are already shot..

You could band-aid the problem, (airbags / timbrens), but those would be taking up all the weight, but not solving the problem..

    OP -
    1. Replace the leafs.
    2. Get a new AAL (if you want the lift back - better to replace the AAL too rather than reusing as you don't know how much stress it has already been taking)
    3. If you carry heavy every so often, get airbags or timbrens to take some of the load off the leafs when you ride heavy..

I will be doing a writeup on my current install (including timbrens) with my .02

I would replace the leaf pack but from what wheelers off road told me I'll probably be in the same situation in a year or so as there leaf packs aren't stiff enough for what I need. They did tell me they have a new leaf pack that is in the production stage but wont be ready for another 6 months or so. I just want a perm. fix so that I'm not doing this again in a year.

I also saw on the wheelers site that they have an additional leaf on the OME springs that can be installed for heavier loads..

If you replaced the leaf pack, got an aal, and airbags/timbrens, I don't see how the same thing could happen. Without the airbags/timbrens then definitely.

Do you know how these compare with the Dakar's? The Dakar's seem like a heavier leaf pack and have 2 heavy overload leafs. The All-Pro's don't seem to have an overload at all which would leave me to question how stable they are towing a heavy load?

Plus it looks like you'll be at 4" of lift in the back unloaded with the heavier leaf set-up so unless you're loaded full time you'll be pretty raked out.

This is kind of what I want to avoid. The All-Pro Website says that its designed to carry heavier loads and at 300-400 lbs it still maintains 1 inch of lift, which is exactly what I need. Are All-Pro made by Dakar?

Below is from All-Pro's website. The stated lift is 3" so you'd have 3" of lift with 3-400 lbs in the bed. You'll have an extra 1" when unloaded.
"All-Pro's Expedition Leaf Springs feature a 20% higher spring rate than their standard leaf springs. They are otherwise identical in dimension and quality, providing the same eye-to-eye measurements and wheel travel. On unloaded Tacomas, they will result in a 1" taller stance than the stated lift height of 3". The stated lift height is maintained with loads of 400-500 lbs of cargo"

Old Man Emu makes the Dakar leaf pack. This is from Toytec's website. They look pretty damn stout, 2-1/2" lift and 2 overloads. I've heard pretty good things about them on this site. Too much lift for me is the only reason I'm not going this route myself.

I dont need 3-4 inches of rear lift, 2 at the most would be good. My only concern is that the Old Man Emu aren't stiff enough and will lose strenght like my factory leaf pack did.
