What do you all recommend as a body seam sealer for under fenders, and in wheel wells, etc? I have a hard time thinking the speciality stuff can be much better than a quality outdoor type silicone or outdoor window caulk that I would use on a house.

    Recommendations and opinions welcomed.

used this for sealing up pinch weld area in wheel well... worked great. Outdoor house silicone chalking tends to shrink/crack over time.

Specialty automotive stuff will 1000% be better than random "exterior" silicone caulking from Home Depot. I don't know about you, but in my experience I regularly see failures in homeowner grade caulking and sealants from the big box stores. But I've essentially never seen automotive seam sealer fail.

Now that you mention it my experience has been the same...good point!

Maybe we should be using automotive grade stuff on our homes!

    Seriously.
I've had good luck with "construction adhesives" but when it comes to caulking it seems like nothing actually works that well. Latex. Silicone. Clear. Colored. Interior. Exterior. Doesn't seem to matter but it always seems to fail one way or another.
