    Hey All,

Pretty sure I know the answer but wanted to confirm before removing. Is this black body side molding only held on with 3M tape and not clips? I can’t stand this molding after seeing all these trucks without it. First pic is mine and second is what I want mine to look like. Thanks!

They were actually on the truck when I bought it. I believe they are Bushwacker flares.

So new question. Should I remove the molding? Every picture of a 95-97 1st gen I see does not have molding. Mine is a rarity apparently. I’m not too fond of the molding based on all the pics I see. What’s the TW consensus? Should I keep or remove?

I'd leave it. Looks good and yeah, don't see them that often. Take care of it

The moulding was an Toyota oem accessory held on with 3m adhesive only.

I put it on myself back on my old truck, which was black, so it didn't stand out as much as against the white color that you got...

I don't think that it was a factory installed option, but I ain't a Toyota salesman.

Heat gun, fishing line, and goo gone may get it off but I have only read about that process on TW. I'd just plastidip it if I wanted to change it's color without removing it.

Appreciate the responses everyone. I’ll have to take some time as I can’t decide. Leaning towards removal tho but not 100% decided. The ones I see without the molding look so clean.
