I'm selling bolt-on rear-shock relocate for the 2nd and 3rd gen trucks. Price is $325 and includes lower 48 shipping.

Also available: bolt on axle tabs with hardware. $70, shipped lower 48.

DM me for shipping to AK or HI.

In active production, hit me up for a set.

You'd get a complete hardware kit, bolt on shock relocate and bolt on axle tabs.

You'd need to supply a 12" King, Fox or other shock. Part Numbers: King: PR2012-SS Fox: 980-02-045. Installation requires cutting off the OEM shock mounts and axle tabs. Then drilling the frame for the hoops.

    Picture of the kit below.

Axle Tabs. Measure from the outside edge of your leaf pack or ubolt plate and put the inside tab far enough that the shock body won't hit the leafs at full stuff or the frame at full droop. 1/2" should be enough for a 2" shock, 3/4" for a 2.5" shock. Also make sure you have room for the bolt/nut.

Measuring for travel before locking in the tabs. 452E7561-96BC-4441-BB23-D677B4578406.jpg

Measure the distance from the bottom of your bump stop to the bottom of the frame. Then set the shock with that much shaft showing, and adjust the axle tabs so they line up there. If the shocks are pressurized already you'll have to measure up from the bottom.of the shock, since they will keep expanding on you.

The hardware kit. Top row is for the hoops, bottom row is for the axle tabs. The 1.5"x1/2 bolts attach the hoops to the frame, washers go inside the frame. The 3"x1/2 bolts in both kits are for the shocks. The 3.5"x1/2 bolts granger sent me by mistake, so you can use them or keep them.
    IMG_20201210_151457707.jpg
The 5/16 bolts are for the axle tabs, these will fit TIGHT on the tube, and may need some persuasion with a hammer to get settled. Make sure to measure off the leaf pack for your shock diameter so the shock doesn't crash into the leafs on full compression. IMG_20201210_151236758_HDR.jpg
Shock hoops, top front is towards us, note the bolt for the shock goes from inside to out, and will need to be installed with the shock before these go on the truck.

For weld on install you have to cut the bolt to exact length and install it the other way, or cut a hole in your bed to get the bolt out...

IMG_20201210_150640716.jpg Outside view, front is towards the bottom of the picture, top is to the right.

Install is an hour or two with a grinder to take off the old shock mounts from the frame and axle.

Then drill 4 holes in the the frame.

    Then bolt everything on.

How is the lower shock mount going to be a bolt on?

    With bolts...
JK, I have no idea. I would assume some kind of mount going around the axle with support to some other component?

    That's the magic.

I figured out how to make a clamp on bracket out of 1/4" DOM to hold the tabs on the axle using two 5/16" grade 8 bolts. They don't move.

You can also order without the axle tabs, source a set from RuffStuff, and make it all weld on if you want. The point of this kit is to make 12" shocks a reality for people without access to a welder. It's a huge huge performance upgrade for the ride of your truck.

How much holding power does it have, and how much force have you tried applying to the mount to see if it actually moves?
I would want to see someone stress test this for science.

OP updated with installed pictures from @Subway4X4 . He hasn't wheeled it yet, but @TwistedTLM4 has been wheeling his set up hard with no issues.

I'll put a jack under a set of those axle tabs when the next set comes off the CNC table. I expect it will be more that strong enough to lift the truck. That doesn't matter though, because the tabs only have to be stronger than the force required to compress the shock or control the spring on rebound.

Another key point of this kit: we get the top of the shock higher in the wheel well, so the lower mounting tabs aren't hanging below the axle. This means better ground clearance and less chance of hitting a rock with your shock tabs.

What's the recommended torque rating on those axle tabs? Two ugga-dugga's? more?

    It's a 5/16 grade 8, so 25 ft/lb according to this: https://www.portlandbolt.com/technical/bolt-torque-chart/ And generating 4,700 pounds of clamping force.

That's tight with a 3/8 drive ratchet and box wrench.

What keeps the tabs in place is the friction of 2 count, 1/2" wide pieces of DOM wrapped around the axle. It's hard to move them without a hammer when the bolts are finger tight, never mind torqued down.

Ah, then I definitely went overboard using 12 1/2" bolts to hold on my awning...
